About

Our History

One of my earliest family memories involves food - really good food! So, I’m proud that today Fitzers Catering is synonymous with really good food

The Fitzpatrick Family

The Fitzpatrick dynasty began in 1940’s Dublin, when Frank Fitzpatrick started out as a barman in Peter’s Pub on South William Street, before setting up an exotic fruit and vegetable shop on Camden Street in 1949 with his wife Carmel. As a family business, everyone was heavily involved in establishing the strong foundation that has put Fitzers at the forefront of the Restaurant and Catering industry in Ireland today.

Why Choose Fitzers Catering?

Fitzers Catering Limited is a wholly owned Irish Company re-investing all of its profits back into Ireland. IN AID OF CANCER CLINICAL RESEARCH TRUST (CCRT)

THE CAROLINE FOUNDATION was established in memory of Caroline Dwyer-Hickey who passed away on 25 March 2013 aged 35 after a nine year battle with cancer.

MISSION

The mission and purpose of The Caroline Foundation is to raise money to fully fund an additional scientific researcher on the Cancer Clinical Research Trust (CCRT) team.

VISION

The hope and vision that inspires our endeavour is that through supporting cancer research, those patients who today are participants on the CCRT research programme may benefit from the on-going development of better treatments and at another level that the global cancer research project, of which CCRT is an integral player, will one day not only find a cure but will find a way of preventing cancer.

GOAL

The committee of The Caroline Foundation has set itself a clear target to raise 1 million euro for The Caroline Foundation Cancer Research Fellowship.

Give Us A Song - 2018

In February 2018, for the second year in a row, Team Fitzers got their singing and dancing talent together to raise funds for the Caroline Foundation. The team lead by Henry Farrelly and Niamh Varszegi gave a great rendition of “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child.

Pieta House - Darkness into Light

“Darkness Into Light is a movement against suicide. Money raised helps keep Pieta House’s life-saving services free and helps us to broaden our services so that we reach those who need us.”
– Brian Higgins, CEO, Pieta House –

About Pieta House

Pieta House opened its doors a decade ago with Lucan in County Dublin as the centre of operations. In the intervening years we have seen and helped over 20,000 people in suicidal distress or engaging in self-harm and established eight subsequent centres, three in the greater Dublin area – Ballyfermot, Tallaght and Finglss and five further centres to cater for the rest of the country in Limerick, Cork, Tipperary, Galway and Kerry.
In 2003, our founder and former CEO, Joan Freeman, a practising psychologist, closed down her own counselling business and dedicated her time to finding out how she could help people who were suicidal – what would be beneficial to them and help them get through their dark time. After three years of research, she opened up Pieta House, which quickly became a respected and recognised service for those who were suicidal.
